Poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrenesulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS) films with high transmittance and flexibility can have important application as the transparent electrode of optoelectronic devices. However, the pristine PEDOT:PSS films has a major problem of the low conductivity for commercial application. To resolve the low conductivity of PEDOT:PSS have been investigated the various methods using materials. In this work, we have tried to improve of low conductivity PEDOT:PSS and non-visibility patterned conductivity PEDOT:PSS by using novel materials with photo-reactive group. The conductivity of PEDOT:PSS films was significantly enhanced depended on the amount of novel materials and the photo-reactive difference of novel materials. The mechanism for the conductivity enhancement of PEDOT:PSS with novel materials is attributed to the phase separation of PSS chain from PEDOT:PSS. The properies of the films were analyzed by means of UV-Vis spectroscopy (UV-Vis), 4-probe measurement, fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and atomic force microscopy (AFM).
