1 Chronicle chapter 1-9 has a specific character. Its content is a collection of Israelite genealogy and the Israelite genealogy in the 1 Chronicle chapter 1-9 begins with the beginning of the world and ends with the period when this book was written.
This Israelite genealogy shows us the social status of the people, and the history of tribes, and the genealogy of each tribe. It means that the writer of the Chronicles tries to show their political, historical, and social position and situation through the genealogy and to reveal the social status and the mission of the people or individual person in the Genealogy. Chapter 6 has a schematic and a complicate scheme and it has the complicate Levitical family tree. We may see various genealogies of the tribe of Levi in Chapter 6. we can not give any clear answer for why there are different genealogies for the tribe of Levi in chapter 6 and the fact that we can not solve this problem makes us humble.
Whenever we read(met) a various genealogies in Chapter 6, we feel afraied at unknowing of the genealogies and humility for that we don't know exactly about it and that we can't correct understand and explain of the genealogies. When we look at the various levitical genealogies in that same chapter and connected with other, if we would compare the genealogies then we can understand more correctly.
Especially Chapter 6 shows us clearly the Levitical family tree which has charge of important roles in the Israelite. This chapter makes sure the position of the families of the tribe of Levi emphasizing how important they are and their works are. But it has many problems. The problem is that the Levitical family tree is very complicate and it confuses the readers and raises many questions. However one remarkable thing is that the writer did not cover or dismiss this problems but wrote as it was. It seems that the writer ask us what is right and what is wrong by witting the Levitical family tree as it was.
Also it seems that the writer makes us know the attitude of persons to the Bible through how they think of this Levitical family tree in Ch. 6 of the 1 Chronicles which has many problems. So the Levitical family tree in 1 Chronicles not only gives us the information and the knowledge of the family of the tribe of Levi but also let us know how their own faith to the Bible. It seems that 1 Chronicles chapter 6 may ask us to have a right attitude and a right position to the Bible which has many problems.
