유아의 연령별 용서 개념 발달과 그에 따른 사회성과 인지발달과의 차이 = A Study on Development of Forgiveness Concept in Children by Age and Its Social and Cognitive Development and Differences

국문 초록 (Abstract)

연구목적: 본 연구의 목적은 만 3~5세 유아가 인식하는 용서개념을 알아보고, 용서 개념적 범
주(‘나쁜 행동 인식’, ‘놀이 친구 선택’, ‘용서할 친구 선택’ 및 ‘선택에 대한 논리적
응답’)에 따른 사회성ㆍ인지발달을 탐색하는 것이다.
연구방법: 유치원에 재원 중인 유아들을 대상으로 일대일 인터뷰를 통하여 용서개념을 알아보
고, 용서개념 인식은 Enright 용서발달단계와 연령별 빈도분석, 기술통계를 사용하여
분석하였으며, 갈등상황 VTR을 통해 유아의 용서 개념적 범주를 측정하였다. 더불어
유아의 발달을 측정하기 위해 표준화된 K-CDI(Korean Child Development Inventory)
한국 아동 발달 평가 도구를 사용하여 부모평가를 통해 유아의 사회성ㆍ인지발달
수준을 살펴보았다. 수집된 자료는 빈도분석, 독립표본 t검증 및 일원배치분산분석
(ANOVA)을 실시하여 분석하였다.
연구결과: 첫째, 만 3~5세 전체 유아 중 64.5%가 용서개념을 인식하고 있었다. 둘째, 만 3~5세 유
아의 용서 개념적 범주(‘나쁜 행동 인식’, ‘놀이할 친구 선택’, ‘용서할 친구 선택’, ‘선택
에 대한 논리적 응답’)에 따라 사회성ㆍ인지발달이 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다.
연구결론: 본 연구에서 만 3~5세 유아의 용서개념은 주로 사과를 전제로 한 용서단계에 있는
것으로 나타났다. 이를 통해 유아의 용서개념 단계를 확인하였으며, 용서 개념적 범
주 에 따른 사회성ㆍ인지발달의 차이를 살펴볼 수 있었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate the concept of forgiveness recognized by
children aged 3 to 5 years and to explore social and cognitive development according
to the conceptual category of forgiveness ('recognition of bad behavior', 'selection of
playmates', 'selection of friends to forgive', and 'logical response to selection').
Methods: The concept of forgiveness was investigated through one-on-one interviews with
children attending kindergarten. The recognition of the concept of forgiveness was
analyzed using Enright forgiveness development stages, frequency analysis by age,
and descriptive statistics. Children's conceptual category of forgiveness was
measured through conflict situation VTR. To measure children's development, the
standardized K-CDI (Korean Child Development Inventory), a Korean child
development assessment tool was used, to examine the children's social and
cognitive development levels through parent evaluation. The collected data were
analyzed by performing frequency analysis, independent samples t-test, and one-way
analysis of variance (ANOVA).
Results: First, 64.5% of all children aged 3 to 5 were aware of the concept of forgiveness. Second,
it was found that the social and cognitive development of children aged 3 to 5 years old
differed depending on the conceptual categories of forgiveness, ‘recognition of bad
behavior,’ ‘selection of playmates,’ ‘selection of friends to forgive,’ and ‘logical
response to choice.’
Conclusion: In this study, the concept of forgiveness in children aged 3 to 5 was found to be mainly
in the forgiveness stage based on an apology. Through this, the stages of children's
forgiveness concept were confirmed, and differences in social and cognitive
development according to the conceptual category of forgiveness could be examined.
