The arterial blood pressure has been known as one of the most important medical factors reflecting the state of the cardiovascular system. A useful and convenient parameters for continuous monitoring of blood pressure(BP) is the pulse wave velocity(PWV) or the pulse wave transit time(PWTT) between two different regions of artery.
In this paper, PWTT to the toes and fingers of 14 normotensive male subjects were obtained from PPG and ECG. The PWTTs that from heart to fingertip(T1, T4), to toe point(T2, T5) and from fingertip to toe point(T3, T6) are analyzed with BP parameters(SYS, DIA, MAP, and Beat) by regression method. As the results, the correlation coefficients were showed as -0.60 in the T2 and MAP. -0.57 in the T2 and DIA.
