This paper presents structural analysis about pin-jointed structures and form-finding about Tensegrity systems by using Force method based on Singular value decomposition. Force method is generalized to cover all types of skeletal structures, such as rigid-jointed frames, pin-jointed planar trusses and ball-jointed space trusses. This method has easier basic concept, which is equilibrium equation, than Finite element method. In addition, this method is appealing to engineers because the properties of members of structures most often depend on the member force than joint displacement. However, force method has complex formulation for analysis. Therefore, in this study proposed new force method using singular value decomposition. Also, this method can be used form-finding of general tensegrity and considering boundary condition tensegrity systems. Based on this proposed formulation, the flexibility matrix becomes not well-conditioned depending on the problem. In this regard, new force method based on singular value decomposition is proposed to analyze truss structures. The proposed method is based of force density method in form-finding of soft structures. Both the boundary conditions and applies loading as well as the geometry of the structures are included in equilibrium matrix.
