      다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

      Male Menopause that occurs mainly between the ages of 40-50 show various changes to the physical situation as well as psychological situation. Male Menopause are caused by reduced secretion of testosterone from the testicle and induce various symptoms including the poor concentration, depression, insomnia, loss of confidence, chronic fatigue, unexplained changes in body shape, the reduction of body hair, loss of muscle strength, skin aging, facial flushing. Glycyrrhiza uralensis, Torilis japonica, Coix lacryma-jobi have been used for treating Anti-inflammatory, Erectile Dysfunction, hesitancy. Thus, the aim of this study is to solve these male menopausal symptoms by using these three natural products. This experiment is carried out by varying the concentration in 10mg/ml, 20mg/ml, 50mg/ml of each plants extracted with 30%, 50% and 70% Ethanol. Each of plants is extracted twice with 30%, 50% and 70% ethanol during the day. Evaporated, and then made into powder using a freeze dryer. Testosterone was incubated for 10min at 37℃ with rat microsomal suspension and three natural products to evaluate the inhibition of testosterone metabolism. Inhibitory of testosterone metabolism is measured in HPLC. In the results of testosterone metabolism inhibition effects of three natural products showed strong inhibition effects and testosterone metabolism inhibition rate is increasing by the ethanol concentration of the extraction solvent, and by the concentration of the extract. These results suggest that three natural products have a possibility to be developed as male menopausal symptoms ameliorating agents.
