關於韓·美·日大學與中國相關學系的敎育硏究現況 = A Survey of the Currency in the Departments of Universities in Korea, America and Japan

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The paper is to analyze and compare the currency of the education and research of chinarelated science through the titles of department and the major fields of faculties in the Chinese departments of Korea, America and Japan. The three countries have all had the tradition of valuing the literature, culture and philosophy of china comparatively. However, in case of Korea, as china has recently enjoyed the economic development and the exchange programs between China and Korea has increased, the tendency to value the general Chinese sciences including her language and culture is reflected in the titles of departments. In America, the Chinese language, culture and civilization can be found to be reflected in the title of departments. As for Japan, the titles of department shows the Chinese literature or language and literature, noticeably with the department of Chinese philosophy in major universities. Through the comparative analysis of the faculties' researching fields, Korea has makes much of the Chinese language and literature and Japan places an emphasis on the Chinese language and literature and philosophy, while America sets much value on the Chinese language, literature and culture. The ground for America's value of the Chinese culture can be found in the great difference between the Eastern and Western culture.
