This study surveys a land use and a satisfaction on surrounding of Mia-samgori subway station. It aim to present a basic data for subway area development as center function of local living. This study is stepped with analyzing land use by field and document surveys, level of satisfaction by questions.
Findings on survey are as follows.
1. Most subway area is a living place but this is used commercially, there are selling facilities along boulevard.
2. A road plan with car-centered lead to a lack of parking area and a difficulty of walking. As a result, this area is difficult of approach to subway station.
3. This area don’t have resting places like park-green and square.
4. Most user used this area for the purpose of shopping, meeting and business by bus and village bus or on foot at weekend and stay about 2 hours.
5. The multi regression analysis's result of level of satisfaction for subway area facilities have a formula. that is Y=0.519+0.140 X2 + 0.180 X3+0.149 X5+0.126 X6+0.225 X7 (R²=0.672)
In this point, the development plans for activity in Mia-samgori subway area as follows. First, we have to prohibit thoughtlessness development and increase of commercial facilities and accumulate commercial activity. this area needs improving a existing road and planning pedestrian road for user. And it will make a good approach to subway station with improvement and magnification of traffic means and activate a commercial activity.
Second, we have to make use of an useless land and a public space as resting places like park, green, square, these planning promote restfully, pleasant living and using environment. A street express well a city image, so we make a local image using a visual and aesthetic environment of a street.
