무선 멀티미디어 응용을 위한 슈도 스트리밍 서비스 기술에 관한 연구 = Pseudo Streaming Service Technology for Wireless Multimedia Applications

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 논문에서는 무선 채널 환경에서 매우 안정된 VoD 서비스 제공이 가능한 슈도 스트리밍 서비스 구현을 위한 핵심 기술들을 제안한다. 슈도 스트리밍의 가장 큰 특징은 미디어 데이터가 다운로드 됨과 동시에 재생이 실시되는 것이다. 기존의 프로그래시브 스트리밍 서비스와 달리 서버/단말간 원활한 상호작용을 확보하기 위해 HTTP 대신에 RTSP를 채택하며, 오류 확률이 높은 무선 채널을 통해 신뢰성 있는 미디어 데이터 전달을 위해 UDP 대신에 TCP를 이용한다. 본 논문에서는 슈도 스트리밍의 RTSP 동작절차와 실제 슈도 스트리밍 서비스 구현 시 고속 서비스 및 콘텐츠 임의접근 기능 제공을 위한 파일 포맷 생성 방법을 제안한다. 또한, 클라이언트 버퍼고갈 확률을 고려하여 사용자가 슈도 스트리밍 서비스 초기에 기다려야 하는 대기시간 (initial latency)을 효과적으로 결정할 수 있는 방법에 대해서도 제안한다.
