The purpose of the thesis is to study physical implication of cognitive science. For this, the thesis studied physical implication through the analysis of embodied cognition, image schema, metaphor. The second generation cognitive scientists use the word cognition as the meaning involving brain’s action including concept and imagination as well as sense and perception. All living things perform categorization. Category is the ‘experience’ that a body feels itself. Accordingly, category and concept are not intelligent but physical respectively. Category and concept is a king of information map containing body’s sensori-motor system. In cognitive science, a body is a physical system containing time-space concreteness, inter-relationship, environmental opening and self-transformation. In other words, a body is a living system accomplishing self-transformation through concrete inter-relationship. This is the philosophy of cognitive science and the ideal of physical education. Accordingly, the thesis proposed philosophical implications that physical education should achieve. First, the thesis mentioned physical education of human nature improvement through experience of embodied cognition and extended mind. Second, regarding structure of image schema, it proposed the way of contemplating philosophical meanings from the viewpoint of an athlete. Finally, the study proposed that metaphor in the sports area reflects the nature of life, and makes us understand various points of human lifestyle through sports.
