The Pneumatic driving system can be expressed in two systems: the normal and emergency system. This paper describes a simple design method by using K-maps in the emergency pneumatic system. The method relies on the use of truth table and K-map, whereby only a single K-map is sufficient to draw each function, exactly for each cylinder function. This method shows the useful particularity in reduction of cylinder logic function especially it can simplify the pneumatic components in the diagram of system considerably. Furthermore, this is applied easily and given good result.
