      다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

      The occurrence and distribution pattern of bivalve larvae in the Mokpo bay, was studied from early-July 1996 to mid-October 1996. The surface water temperature ranged from 18.5℃ to 27.9℃, and the bottom water temperature ranged from 19.1℃ to 25.3℃. The salinity of the surface water showed the range from 4.1% to 33.1% and that of bottom water showed the ranged from 25.2% to 34.2%.
      The total individual density of bivalve large was 1,144,123 ind/m2 and 98,229 ind/m2 with the shell length of over 200μm and 150~200μm used for the identification of specied.
      They were composed of 0.3% of Mytilus edulis, 25.1% of Musculista senhousia, 10.0% of Crassostrea gigas, 3.0% of Teredo navalis, and 62.0% of other unidentified individuals.
      Even though the individual density of larvae of M. edulis was extrmely lower than other species, density of the size of over 200μm was 28 ind/m2 in late-July, whereas they did not appeared after 12th August.
      The larvae of M. senhousia, there were two peaks of the abundant phases in mid-July, in late-September at the size of over 200μm and the maximum individual density of them was 287 ind/m2 in late-September. At the size of 150~200μm, there were three peaks of the abundant phases in mid-August, in early-September, in late-September and the maximum induvidual density of them was 3,753 ind/m2 in late-September.
      The larvae of C gigas in size over 200μm reached the maxium density phase in mid-August and the maxium individual density of them was 1,526 ind/m2. At the size of 150~200μm showed the abundant phase in early-August and the maxium individual density of them was 3,345 ind/m2 they did not occurred after on 6th October.
      The larvae of T. navalis in size over 200μm, there were two peaks of the abundant phases in early and mid August and the maxium individual density of them was 86 ind/m2 in mid-August. At the size of 150~200μm, there were two peaks of the abundant phases in late-July, in mid-August and the maxium individual density of them was 405 ind/m2 in mid-August.
