영유아교육기관의 조직효과성과 교사의 성격강점 인식, 의사소통능력, 임파워먼트 간의 구조적 관계분석 = Analyzing the structural relationships between organizational effectiveness of early childhood education institute, teachers’ character strength, their communication skills, and the teachers’ empowerment

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 영유아교육기관의 조직효과성에 영향을 미치는 교사의 성격강점 인식과 의사소통능력, 임파워먼트 간의 구조적 관계를 분석하고, 변인들 간의 구조적 관계가 어떠한지, 그리고 변인 간 영향 관계는 어떠한지 검증하는데 목적을 두었다. 연구의 대상은 B시, P시, U시에 소재한 유치원 및 어린이집에 근무하는 영유아교사 559명이다. 분석은 SPSS 18.0과 AMOS 18.0 프로그램을 사용하여 확인적 요인분석과 구조방정식 모형분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 연구결과 첫째, 영유아교육기관의 조직효과성과 영유아교사의 성격강점 인식, 의사소통능력 그리고 임파워먼트 간의 구조적 관계를 살펴보았다. 그 결과 영유아교사의 성격강점 인식과 의사소통능력, 임파워먼트는 영유아교육기관의 조직효과성에 유의한 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 영유아교사의 의사소통능력과 임파워먼트는 성격강점 인식과 영유아교육기관의 조직효과성 관계에서 매개적 역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 본 연구의 결과는 조직 내에서 영유아교사들의 자질적 전문성과 역할수행으로서의 삶의 질 향상을 위한 긍정적 기여와 미래의 영유아교육의 질을 향상시킬 수 있는 방안을 모색하는 기초자료를 제공한다고 할 수 있다.

This study aimed to investigate structural relationships between such factors influencing the organizational effectiveness of early childhood education institutes, specifically teachers' character strength, communication skills, and empowerment. It aims to further understand how these variables are interrelated and impact organizational efficiency. A total of 559 teachers working in educational establishments for young children participated in our study. Study findings can be summarized as follows. First, teachers' character strength, communication skills, or empowerment have a significant and positive effects on organizational efficiency of early childhood education institutes. Second, the relationship between early childhood teachers' character strength and organizational effectiveness of preschools for young children was mediated by those teachers' communication skills or empowerment. As suggested, this study sheds light on how to attain better professional competence and role performance of early childhood teachers within the contexts of their organization, as well as how to improve the quality of early childhood education itself.
