The Imaging Plate(IP) can easily be exposed to different types of the lights that stimulates a photostimulated phosphor such as a fluorescent light, an incandescent or sunlight. This study explored IP response characteristics within the range of ultraviolet ray and a visible light.
The results are as follows :
1. In case of the IP is exposed to an incandescent or fluorescent light that produce wavelength within the range of a visible light before x-ray exposure, the density slowly increased to 0.1 in an hour
2. In case of the IP is exposed to an incandescent after x-ray exposure. the density decreased as time goes by. However, there were little changes in case of a fluorescent light.
3. In case of the IP is exposed to ultraviolet rays before and after x-ray exposure,
it become dark instantly and was saturated to density 3.05 around eight seconds.
