Korean Loanwords in Jurchen and Manchu = Korean Loanwords in Jurchen and Manchu

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This article presents some additional evidence for the Korean loanwords in Jurchen and Manchu following up the author's earlier publications on the same topic (Vovin 2005, 2006). Most of the loanwords discussed in the article could have been borrowed into Jurchen or Manchu only from some variety of Old Korean. Their likeliest source is a variety of Old Korean spoken in Koguryo and/or Parhae kingdoms. Therefore, these loanwords present important evidence that Koguryo and/or Parhae, or at least their elites were Korean-speaking.
