반촌(泮村)과 반인(泮人) 시인 연구 = A Study on Banchon and the Banin Poets

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 논문은 조선 후기 泮人의 문학활동과 한시창작을 연구하였다. 반인은 泮村의 주민으로, 반촌은 成均館에 봉사하는 주민이 사는 특수한 마을이었다. 반인은 閭巷人의 일원이나 그들의 문학 활동은 그동안 여항인 문학 연구에서 관심의 대상이 되지 않았다.
최근 반인의 문학활동을 보여주는 2종의 문헌 『泮林英華』와 『鄭義士護聖錄』이 출현하여 반인이 문학활동에 동참하였고, 18세기 이후에는 시인을 계속 배출한 실태를 보여주었다. 이 두 자료를 분석해보니, 여항인 시선집인 『소대풍요』와 『풍요속선』, 『풍요삼선』에 수록된 반인의 실체를 확인하게 되었다. 이 문헌을 근거로 기타 문집과 시화 등을 참고하여 반인 시인과 그들이 지은 한시를 전면적으로 조사하였다. 조사한 결과 17세기부터 19세기 중반까지 활동한 반인 시인의 개략적인 인원수와 전해오는 작품의 수량, 작품의 특징, 반인 시단의 시기별 전개양상 등을 파악할 수 있었다.
이 논문은 조선 후기 여항인 문학 연구에서 도외시해왔던 반인과 반인의 한시를 조명할 새로운 근거를 확보하였다. 반인이란 독특한 시인집단을 새로 확인한 것과 그로 인해 여항인 문학의 범위를 확대한 것이 논문이 거둔 성과이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper studied the Banin who lived during the late Joseon dynasty by focusing on their literary activities and the classical Chinese poems that they composed. The Banin were residents of Banchon, which was a unique village where the people who worked for the Sungkyunkwan resided. The Banin were classified as part of the Yeohangin class, but their literary activities have rarely been a research topic among the scholars of Yeohangin literature.
Two volumes on the literary activities of the Banin, Banlimyeonghwa, and Jeonguisahoseongrok that have recently been discovered shows how the Banin engaged in literary activities and produced poets after the eighteenth century. An analysis of the two materials confirmed that the works by the Banin could be found in the anthologies of Yeohangin literature, including Sodaepungyo, Pungyosokseon, and Pungyosamseon. Based on the evidence found in the volumes and further consultation of other anthologies and illustrated poems, this study conducted a complete analysis of the Banin poets and their classical Chinese poetry. Through this analysis, this study identified the rough number of Banin poets who had been active from the seventeenth to the mid-nineteenth century, as well as the number of their remaining works. This study further identified the characteristics of such works and the different historical phases of the Banin poetic circles.
This study presented new findings on the Banin and their classical Chinese poetry, which has so far been neglected in the study of the Yeohangin literature in the late Joseon dynasty. This study succeeded in newly identifying the Banin as a unique poetry circle, and thereby expanded the scope of Yeohangin literature.
