Recently, the rapid development of technology and the spread of information have led to a gradual improvement in individual capabilities. Each market has also grown at an amazing rate, furthermore, the number of companies is increasing exponentially to the government's implementation of its support the Start-Up policies. However, we also see that the number of closed companies is increasing and that performance-enhancing rates for each organization are inadequate.
So, based on the theory of Cultural Reproduction and Cultural Mobility, the authors verified how the Cultural Capital of each influences the Organizational Performance by promoting Knowledge Management Activities and forming an organization Habitus.
This paper surveyed citizens who participated in the organizational activities of Korea. The survey collected 547 questionnaire, and analyzed 503 effective answers except for 44 unfaithful answers. The survey results were analyzed by using SPSS 26.0 to analyze descriptive statistics, reliability and validity, and further verified using Smart PLS 3.0 to improve accuracy. The Bootstrapping program is support to verify the structural equations, and used common method bias to analyze the error generated by measuring to the same method.
Research analysis confirmed that the relationship between Cultural Capital and Knowledge Management Activities, Habitus and Organizational Performance was all significant. Furthermore, it was confirmed that both Knowledge Management Activities and Habitus had positive consequence on mediate effects and sequential mediate effects.
The study’s academic significance is as follows: First, the research sector has expanded by studying the effects of Cultural Capital in management, where the research activities are less active than existing education and sociology. Second, the results proposed other perspectives by accepting and supporting both Cultural Reproduction Theory based on Organizational Performance, and Cultural Mobility Theory which utilized Knowledge Management Activities during existing and constant discussions. Finally, quantitative measurements and demonstrations of the effects of Habitus, which were only actively studied in qualitative research worldwide, helped to establish a more theoretical basis clearly.
The practical significances of this study are as follows: First, it makes sense by demonstrating the impact of cultural capital on organizational performance and encouraging the accumulation environment of cultural capital within the organization. Second, it was instrumental in the proposal to form a healthy organizational culture based on the positive impact on forming organizational culture by promoting knowledge management activities. Finally, he contributed to the national policy proposals for cultural welfare by presenting the basis for the organization's performance and the promotion of job creation.
Based on the results of this study, we expect that management strategies which aimed at improving the performance of each organization will be established and the effect will appear as a positive result.
