      As for today s car, an engine collects data from several sensors in order for computer with numerical analysis and control called ECU(Electronic Control Unit) to precisely control engine. Spark Ignition Engine controls in order to possibly display the optimal engine efficiency with the control system for measuring Fuel/Air ratio and with the ignition controller for combustion in proper period. However, it has great influence upon engine performance and noxious-gas emission depending on ignition performance of Spark Ignition Engine. Thus, it is very important to systematically analyze action and its effect of ignition system. Accordingly, this study focused on analyzing influence upon ignition performance according to Power TR(Transistor) in Electronic Control Ignition Unit of gasoline engine. For this, it analyzes this factor experimentally by generating a change in electric current and voltage according to the appearance of executing Power TR and to the malfunctioning in power TR available for occurring generally, and comparatively analyzes ignition performance. Thus, it will be utilized as data available for accurately diagnosing trouble and for monitoring by being connected to Self Diagnostics System in ECU of vehicle.
