[사상사 · 역사이론] 이론의 빈곤, 빈곤 속의 풍요 = 역사이론의 갱신과 사상사의 실천을 준비하며

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper surveys the academic currents of western history in Korea in 2013~2014, focused on the fields of historical theory and history of ideas. One remarkable feature is the steep decrease of research results in a quantitative term. In fact, the passions about the various methodologies of the past ‘new history’ or ‘newer history’ seem to lessen. However, a closer look reveals that high qualitative researches and the vivid academic debates came out. In addition, the attempts to explore and cultivate the new territories of contemporary history might give us the possibilities of renewing the ‘new history.’ In particular, the history of ideas, for example, the history of democracy which was dealt in the special issues merits attention. Indeed, these researches in history of ideas might illustrate that history can be a cogent way of thinking the present. To sum up, recent researches in 2013~2014 were preparing the renewal of historical theory and the practice of history of ideas.
