일상 아카이브즈를 통한 생활세계 연구의 가능성 = Possibility of the Studies on the Everyday World by Using an Archives of Ordinary Life

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Establishing an archives of ordinary life is a process pursuing to transform private individuals into active subjects in history and seeking a new research methodology which goes beyond the trivialness and the microscopic meaning contained in the ordinariness of individuals' lives. This article examine 1) the meaning of what were remained after the individual and the collective behaviors, 2) the significance of what we archive the materials and records from those people.
Everyone lives a daily life and it reflect history and society, but 'ordinariness' is nearly a abstract concept. Therefore, it is impossible to collect all the materials of daily life and it is irrational to select from those materials. In this situation, it is needed that we refer the precedent set by the foreign countries to establish the archives of ordinary life.
After reviewing various prerequisites for establishing and administering the archives, this article insists that its success depends on whether an interactive network between the producers of records and its consumers could be established and work.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

일상 아카이브즈 구축은 개인이 역사의 주체가 되는 길을 찾는 과정이다. 또한 일상성이 지닌 사소함과 미시적 의미를 넘어서는 연구방법론을 찾는 과정이다. 본고에서는 인간의 개인적·집단적 행위들의 총체인 일상이 남긴 흔적의 의미와 이것을 아카이빙하는 것이 지니는 의미를 살펴보고 있다.
일상은 어디에서나 누구에게나 작용하며 그것이 비록 시대와 사회를 지속적으로 반영하고 있을지라도 추상적인 개념에 가깝다. 그러므로 일상과 관련된 자료 모두를 수집하는 것은 현실적으로 불가능하며 반대로 그것을 선택적으로 수집하는 것은 불합리하다. 이런 상황에서 일상 아카이브즈를 구축하기 위해서는 우선 해외의 성공적인 일상, 혹은 생활사 아카이브즈 모델을 치밀하게 검토하여 참고하는 것이 필요하다. 여기에는 일상성 도큐멘테이션 전략을 수립하는 문제까지 포함되어야 한다. 또한 우리가 일반적으로 상정할 수 있는 자료 수집 체계와 함께, 적극적으로 일상성을 확인할 수 있는 자료를 생산해내는 방식도 반드시 고려해야 한다. 아카이빙이 수집을 넘어 소통으로 확대될 때 비로소 생활세계를 구현하는 일상 아카이브가 완성된다는 인식은 아카이브즈 운영기관이 반드시 지녀야 할 태도이다. 생활세계 자료를 생산하는 자가 곧 소비자로, 소비자가 생산자로 자유롭게 이동할 수 있는 네트워크를 구축하는 것이 어쩌면 일상 아카이브즈의 성패를 가르는 핵심요소일지도 모른다.
