Establishing an archives of ordinary life is a process pursuing to transform private individuals into active subjects in history and seeking a new research methodology which goes beyond the trivialness and the microscopic meaning contained in the ordinariness of individuals' lives. This article examine 1) the meaning of what were remained after the individual and the collective behaviors, 2) the significance of what we archive the materials and records from those people.
Everyone lives a daily life and it reflect history and society, but 'ordinariness' is nearly a abstract concept. Therefore, it is impossible to collect all the materials of daily life and it is irrational to select from those materials. In this situation, it is needed that we refer the precedent set by the foreign countries to establish the archives of ordinary life.
After reviewing various prerequisites for establishing and administering the archives, this article insists that its success depends on whether an interactive network between the producers of records and its consumers could be established and work.
