The content production industry centered on video is a very important industry in Korea, and it is expected to play a key role in the future industrial market represented by the fourth industry as it is a continuously growing field. In particular, as content such as webtoons and games centered on smart devices has been spotlighted, the scale of the industry has expanded, and with the advent of new media-centric platforms such as OTT and N screens beyond TV, the growth of the content industry is rapidly expanding. New media content grew rapidly as the mobile-based content market expanded, expanding into smart devices and diversifying into an interactive-oriented content industry. In particular, thanks to the expansion of the smart device industry and the development of technology, high-definition video contents centered on FHD, which was possible only on TV broadcasting, became available for convenient viewing on personal smart devices, and the demand for content based on this trend continues to increase. Currently, the domestic animation industry is experiencing industrial shrinkage due to difficulties in distribution of the produced animation content along with difficulties in production investment, but if it responds appropriately to the change to the new media content, it is based on the scalability of the platform of the new media content. It will be able to change some of the problems that are now and develop them to promote production. Above all, changing the production structure of animation centered on the new media content platform and establishing a new production plan can be an important factor for the domestic animation industry to grow.
