예비유아교사의 자아존중감이 교사역량에 미치는 영향 : 전문성인식의 매개효과를 중심으로 = The Impact on Teaching Competency of the Prospective Young Children Teachers Self-Esteem: Focused on the Mediated Effect of Expertise Awareness

국문 초록 (Abstract)

목적 본 연구는 예비유아교사의 전문성인식의 매개효과를 중심으로 자아존중감이 교사역량에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 방법 전라남도 지역에 위치한 유아교육학과 재학생 210명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 설문문항에 대한 신뢰도를 검증하기 위하여 Cronbach α 계수를 산출하였고, Pearson적률상관분석을 실시하였다. 다음으로 자아존중감이 교사역량에 미치는 영향에서 전문성인식의 매개효과를 분석하기 위하여 Baron과 Kenny(1986)의 3단계 매개회귀분석을 실시하였다. 결과 첫째, 자아존중감, 전문성인식, 교사역량간의 유의한 정적상관이 나타났으며 하위영역간에도 모두 정적상관이 나타났다. 둘째, 자아존중감이 교사역량 및 교사역량의 하위요인들에 미치는 영향에서 전문성인식의 매개효과를 살펴본 결과, 전체 교사역량과 교사역량의 하위요인 중 교육과정이해, 유아보호, 교육계획수립의 완전 매개효과가 나타났다. 결론 자아존중감이 전체 교사역량 및 교육과정이해, 유아보호, 교육계획수립에 직접적인 영향을 미치지는 못하지만 전문성인식에 영향을 미침으로서 종속변인에 영향을 미칠 수 있음을 시사한다. 또한 하위요인 중 개인적 자질과 교육과정 실행의 영역에서는 자아존중감이 전문성인식에 영향을 주는 것을 통해서 이들 변인에 영향을 주는 것과 동시에 직접적으로도 영향을 줄 수 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Objectives The purpose of this study was to explore if there is an impact on teaching competency of the prospective young children teachers self esteem, focusing on the mediated effect of their expertise awareness. Methods For the study, the survey was conducted on 210 students from the Department of Early Childhood Education located in Jeollanam-do. The collected data was computed by a Cronbach s Alpha to test reliability of the survey questionnaires and Pearson s Ratio Correlation Analysis was applied. Then, Baron and Kenny s mediation analysis (1986) was applied to analyze the mediated effect of expertise awareness from the impact on teaching competency of the prospective young children teachers self-esteem. Results First, there was the significant positive correlation among self-esteem, expertise awareness, and teaching competency; there was the significant positive correlation in sub-areas as well. Second, according to examining mediated effects of the expertise awareness in the teaching competency and its sub-areas which are affected by the self-esteem, the complete mediated effects of the entire teaching competency and the teaching competency s sub-areas: understanding of educational curriculum, child protection, and establishment of educational planning. Conclusions It suggests that self-esteem can influence on dependent variables by impacting on their expertise awareness even though it can t impact on entire teaching competency, understanding of educational curriculum, child protection, and establishment of educational planning. In the realm of personal qualities and curriculum implementation, it is possible impacting on their variables through self-esteem affects expertise awareness or directly.
