공동제작 프로그램의 문화적 다양성 연구 -다큐멘터리의 국제공동제작 사례를 중심으로- = A Study on Cultural Diversity of Co-production -Focused on the case of co-produced documentary-

국문 초록 (Abstract)

디지털전환 이후 방송 산업계와 학계에서는 한류의 지속과 확산을 위해 지속적으로 새로운 소재와 포맷을 개발하고 있으며, 공격적인 마케팅 전략을 통해포스트 한류를 대비하고 있다. 하지만 세계가 주목하는 국내의 방송 콘텐츠는 여전히 부재한 상황이다. 이러한 측면에서 국제공동제작은 세계 방송 콘텐츠의 눈높이를 맞추어 한국 방송영상 콘텐츠가 세계를 향해한 걸음을 더 내디딜 수 있게 하는 중요한 전술 중 하나가 될 수 있다. 본 연구는 2006년 이후 제작된 국제공동제작 다큐멘터리의 제작 연도별, 공동제작의 유형들과 하위 장르별 분류 등의 분석을 통해 국제공동제작이 가지는 문화적 다양성 여부를 분석해보고, 이에 따른 함의적 결론을 얻고자 하였다. 분석결과 참여 국가와 하위 장르, 플랫폼별 다양성에도 불구하고, 공동제작의 건수가적고 일정하지 않다는 것이다. 결론이 함의하는 바는 국제공동제작을 민간외교의 차원에서 검토해 볼 필요가 있다는 것이다. 또한, 다큐멘터리의 공동제작은 저개발 국가들에 대한 지원과 원조로 이어질 수 있다.

Since digital switchover in 2013 broadcast scholars and relevant industries are gearing up to develop brand new programmes and preparing post-Korean wave by aggressive marketing strategies. However it is still not enough profitable intercontinental programmes which global broadcasters willingly intend to purchase. From this aspect co-production between nations can be regarded as one of important tactics which is to be more improved global content. A purpose of this study is to analyse cultural diversity of co-produced documentary with national, chronicled, typical and classification by sub-genres and approach implied results. Consequently, the number of co-production is few and inconstant despite of diversity by nations, sub-genres and platforms. These results remind us of the need for nongovernmental diplomacy about international coproduction. Furthermore, this co-production can lead to state support for underdeveloped countries.
