This study criticizes that writing subjects in universities are centered on ideology, textbooks, and instructors. The purpose is to think in terms of learners in consideration of the sequence of writing education in secondary education. For this purpose, the <Speech and Composition> curriculum of secondary writing education, textbooks, and university writing textbooks are studied. Writing education in secondary education aims to understand and communicate principles.
It is composed of process-oriented and genre-oriented. In addition, activities are centered on understanding of processes, strategies, and genres. Writing education in university education is focused on the goal of communication. Textbooks are theory-oriented. Through a comparative study, it was found that the writing education goal was not developed in depth and that the content was not linked to the genre experience in the secondary curriculum. In terms of methods, most of the guidance is based on theory rather than activity, so a learner-centered education method should be sought.
