      다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

      In ancient Chinese tale there are a bird that is Called Sam-Jok-0. Surprisingly it is said that this bird has three legs and lives in the Sun. The number '3' which derived from Sam Symbolizes the Sun and it affected so much to Korean teles and literature.
      In fact, this bird never existed neither in the Sun nor the Earth before. It is only imaginary bird that only appear·s in ancient tales and myths of literature. Since Sam-Jok-0 is called, in another name, as the Sun, the tales of it can be called the tales of the Sun. Because the tales of the Sun have been spread among ancient nations through the world, similar aspects have born studied In Korean tales and literature.
      It is said that the founder of ancient Kingdom in the region of northeastern Asia was born by a Woman who became pregnant by swallowing an egg dropped by a bird that is named Hyun Jo (Swallow or Crow) of course, Hyun Jo is a kind of Sam-Jok-o here. As a matter of fact, there are many tales a sort of similar stories around the world.
      Since he was born by an e99 2iven by a bird that plays a role of Angel, he crowns to be a king. He becomes a great leader who receives respects from the people because a Son of Heaven is naturally a good and wise king. Sfm-Jok-0 is identical with the Sun and it plays a role of creating a good and wise king. Because tile tales of Sam-Jok-O has influenced upon tile paetry and noble, it has significant importance in the history of literature, As a result, the tale of Sam-Jok-O is analyzed in terms of symbols and effects.
