중학생의 유연성 유형에 따른 하위집단 분류 및 하위집단별 스트레스 인지와 학교적응의 차이검증: 잠재계층분석 = Classification of the Subgroups by the Resilience Types among Middle School Students and Verification of Differences in Stress Perception and School Adaptation: A latent class analysis

The purpose of this study was to identify the latent classes in terms of resilience types among middle school students and to verify differences in the levels of stress recognition and school adaptation between the identified latent classes. For doing this, we analyzed a total of 1,253 middle school students. The results are as follows. First, based on the eight sub-factors of resilience, four latent classes were identified, depending on the level of resilience: ‘resilience-low’, ‘resilience-intermediate low’, ‘resilience- intermediate high’, and ‘resilience-high’. Second, the difference between stress cognition and school adaptation according to the latent classes classified in terms of resilience was identified. Stress recognition factor was high in the order of ‘resilience-low’, ‘resilience-intermediate low’, ‘resilience-intermediate high’, and ‘resilience-high’ groups. School adaptation was the highest in the‘resilience-high’ group, followed by ‘resilience-intermediate high’, ‘resilience-intermediate low’, and ‘resilience-low’ groups. The upshot of this study is that subgroups according to resilience among middle school students were classified by considering classification error, and analyzed by the BCH method that includes result variables as condition model. These findings could be used as evidence-based data for enhancing resilience programs.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구의 목적은 중학생의 유연성으로 잠재계층을 구분하고, 잠재계층에 따라 스트레스 인지와 학교적응에 차이가 있는지 검증하는 것이었다. 이를 위해 확률적 표집으로 구성한 중학생 1,253명을 대상으로 분석하였다. 유연성의 개인내적 특성과 외적 보호요인의 8가지 하위요인으로 분석한 결과는 유연성 수준에 따라 네 개의 집단으로 분류되었으며, 유연성-하, 유연성-중하, 유연성-중상, 유연성-상 집단으로 명명하였다. 유연성으로 분류된 잠재계층에 따른 스트레스 인지와 학교적응의 차이검정을 실시한 결과는 스트레스 인지 하위요인 모두에서 유연성-하, 유연성-중하, 유연성-중상, 유연성-상 집단 순으로 유의하게 높았고, 학교적응은 하위요인 모두에서 유연성-상, 유연성-중상, 유연성-중하, 유연성-하 집단 순으로 유의하게 높았다. 이 연구는 분류오류를 고려하여 중학생의 유연성에 따른 잠재계층을 구분하였고, 결과변수를 조건모형으로 포함하여 연구 모형 안에서 검증하는 잠재계층 BCH방법으로 분석하였다는데 방법론적 의의가 있으며, 연구결과가 유연성 증진 프로그램을 위한 근거기반 자료로 활용될 수 있다는 점에 실천적 함의가 있다.
