`Shihak-Unchong`(詩學韻叢) is an anthology of Chinese classical poems of China, Korea and Japan. It was published in 1918 and edited by Song-Gisik(宋基植), an independence activist and an educator in the Japanese Colonial Period.
We can call the anthology of poems which classified to rhyme characters as `Bunun-Shisun`(分韻詩選). It planned to compile poems to help the biginner learning Chinese classical poem. `Shihak-Unchong`(詩學韻叢) represents the characteristics of `Bunun-Shisun` as well. The catalog shows who wrote a poem with some rhyming characters, and the emphasizing points or comments shows good paragraphs and the general knowledges.
Though `Shihak-Unchong`(詩學韻叢) is a `Bunun-Shisun`, it also contains historical poems even they are not a Geunchesi, a strictly formal Chinese classical poem established by Tu-Fu(杜甫). Therefore the bigenner not only could learn how to write a Chinese classical poem but also could know the general knowledge regarding the Chinese classical poems.
Because `Shihak-Unchong` was edited and published by Song-Gisik himself, it has some limits. In spite of that, it could be valued greatly not olny because it functionated as a guide book for a beginner to write a Chinese classical poem but also because it settled the East Asia`s Chinese classical poems in traditional period.
