四飮(痰飮, 懸飮, 溢飮, 支飮)의 呼吸器와 關聯된 文獻的 考察 = STUDIES THROUGH LITERATURE ON FOUR EUM RELATED TO RESPIRATORY ORGAN

Of the Four Eum(四飮), those related to the respizatory organ are Hyun Eum(懸飮) and Ji Eum(支飮). Through the studies of 16 kinds literature, the following were obtained as a conclusion.
1. Hyun Eum(懸飮) causes a drawing pain when coughing up sputum, checking vigor with a heavy feeling in the chest. In a serious case, severe asthma occurs with pain in the chest and sides, and the upper clevis becomes tense accompanied by dry nausea, short of breath and a headache. Permeative pleuritis belongs to this case.
2. Ji Eum(支飮) causes frequent asthma, which is characterized by short of breath, forcing the patient breathe leaning against an object. Thus, the patient breathes in a sotting position, unable to lie on is his sie. With the body in a state of swelling with much liquid, the patient suffers acute asthma. This induces paralysis of heart function, heart asthma, lung hydropsy and chest hydropsy. This also causes heart edema, chronic lung hydropsy and other accompanying lung and heart diseases.
As a result of studies on the respiratory functions of the Four Eum through literature, it was found that a better therapeutic performance would be expected with a deeper research on the theories of Hyun Eum and Ji Eum to connect the feelings more closely to the respiratory organ.
