판결서 텍스트의 문장 확대 양상에 대한 연구 —판결서 간이화의 관점에서— = A Study on the Aspects of Sentence Extension in Korean Ruling Texts: for a Concise Style Guide of the Ruling Texts

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The present paper examines the stylistic characteristics of Korean courts' ruling texts by comparative analysis between the ruling texts and Korean balanced corpus. Most studies on the Korean ruling text have been from the prescriptive point of view, however few studies have been performed on descriptive data. This study provides quantitative differences between the ruling text and morphologically analyzed Korean written corpus and reveals what kind of grammatical features affects the long sentence structures of judgement texts. As a result of this study, a) the average sentence of the judgement texts is 47 ecel, it is 4 times as long as normal Korean sentences', b) POS frequency and distribution shows that the judgement texts use noun modifier construction and modifying clauses more frequently than Korean blanced corpus, and c) a few high frequency constructions composed of key endings affects difficulty of meaning decoding on the judgement texts.
