I analyzed 9 amino acids of urine of 75 healthy newborn who were born at Chungnam National University Hospital and fed with artificial cow milk from September 1993 to September 1995.
Cystine and tryptophan were analyzed in 49 cases, and tyrosine, valine, leucine, lysine, methionine, isoleucine and phenylalanine were in 75 cases.
Lysine was detected at 59 %, but tryptophan was not detected at all. The biggest normal range was shown in cystine and the norrowest was in leucine.
