The purpose of this study is to analyze the changing trends in the future transportation environment and derive directions for mobility architecture design that correspond to these changes. Based on theoretical considerations, we examined domestic and international gas station cases in accordance with the changing trends in the mobility industry. We also deliberated on ways to utilize existing urban infrastructure that may become obsolete in the evolving future society. The analysis results suggest that petrol stations should function as neighborhood-based mobility hubs and that these spaces should support various urban functions while efficiently integrating new modes of transportation, reflecting on the fundamental reasons for the necessity of such spaces.
