사회과 구술평가 실행 방안 탐색: 저출산 현상을 주제로 = Exploring Implementation Strategies for Oral Assessments in Social Studies: Focusing on the Low Fertility Phenomenon

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구의 목적은 중학교 사회과 수업에서 수행평가의 한 방법으로 구술평가를 실행할 방안을 시론적으로 탐색하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 중학교 사회과 교사인 연구자가 1학년 사회 과목의 ‘사회 변동과 사회문제’단원에서 저출산 현상을 주제로 구술 평가한 경험을 바탕으로 일대일 문답형 구술평가의 실행 방안을 제시하였다. 적용한 단계로는 [주제 선정하기 → 텍스트 선정하기 → 질문 만들기 → 채점 기준 만들기 → 텍스트 읽기 → 구술평가 사전 연습하기 → 구술평가 진행하기 → 피드백 제공하기] 순이다. 구술평가는 가장 오래된 수행평가 방법이자 여러 이점을 가지고 있음에도 사회과 교실 현장과 사회과 교육학계에서 구술평가에 관한 관심이 상대적으로 낮은 편이다. 이 연구가 구술평가에 대한 교사와 연구자의 관심을 환기하고, 사회과 수업에서 구술평가를 실행하고자 하는 교사에게 실제적인 도움이 되기를 기대한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The primary goal of this research is to theoretically explore the implementation of oral assessments as a performance assessment method in middle school social studies classes. To this end, the researcher, a middle school social studies teacher, presents the strategies for implementing one-on-one oral assessments based on the experience of assessing the low fertility phenomenon in the first-year social studies unit, “Social Change and Social Issues.” The applied steps include: [Selecting a Topic → Choosing Texts → Developing Questions → Creating a Rubric → Reading the Text → Practicing Oral Assessment → Implementing the Oral Assessment → Providing Feedback]. Despite being one of the long-established performance assessment methods and having many advantages, interest in oral assessments is relatively low in social studies classes and social studies education. This study aims to rekindle interest in oral assessments among teachers and researchers and seeks to provide practical support to those wishing to implement oral assessments in social studies classes.
