      The elevator is gradually installed due to the high-rise of buildings. Elevators are devices that demand a high
      safety requirement. Most of the data on elevator safety accidents have been analyzed for failures by focusing on
      parts-oriented or design problems. But the analysis of user-centered and human errors is insufficient. Therefore, in this paper, failure data is classified, and characteristic factors are prepared for this classification. According to the characteristic factor, it was classified into parts-oriented FMECA and service-oriented FMECA. The differences in failure analysis were investigated according to the results of the two analyzes. In conclusion, We could know the reasons about the fault and present the solution using FMECA.
