Kwon-Keun(1352-1409) was a man who played very useful act on political part in King Tae Jong, Yi dynasty so that the power of Kings growed very strong and Government was in stability. However, many people have inclined to underestimate him because he was political apostate to continue his official life through the two dynasties, Korea and Yi. Therefore I attempted to study about Kwon-Keun to find out his real aspect without the prejudice, and got the conclusion that he was rather a competent man trying to put his political thought in practice than an apostate to take personal profits from both of the two dynasties. Followings are the main ideas of his political thought;
1. King must be diligent and thrifty and take a deep interest in the well-being of his people.
2. The military forces must be commanded completely by King and it has to be strong enough to prevent from foreign attacks for our national security.
3. In relation with foreign nations we must be familiar with each of them to maintain peaceful contacts while preserving our identity.
4. The practicality and the local characteristics must be considered in education and our own morality must be established through the education.
5. The local administration must be carried out with the understanding on the residents' real desires and the efforts to improve their accommodation and profits.
