부산시내 실업계고등학교 디자인교육에 관한 연구 = (The) Research on Design Education of Vocational High-school in Pusan

국문 초록 (Abstract)

현대 사회는 디자인 시대라고 할만큼 디자인은 우리들의 일상생활에서부터 사회의 모든 분야와 밀접한 관계를 맺고 있다. 특히, 최근에는 디자인이 기술개발과 함께 국제 경쟁력을 향상시키는 양대 축으로 세계 무한 경쟁시대를 헤쳐나갈 방향을 제시할 수 있다는 인식이 확대되면서, 디자인에 대한 사회 전반적인 관심이 날로 높아져 가고 있다.
이러한 디자인에 대한 인식확산은 창의적이면서 경쟁력 있는 디자이너를 필요로 하게 되었다. 국제 경쟁력이 심화되고 다양한 라이프 스타일이 대두되는 현재와 미래의 디자인문제를 해결하기 위해서는 다양한 전문성을 지닌 능력 있는 디자이너를 필요로 하며 이는 디자인교육에 대한 기대로 이어진다.
우리나라는 1960년대에 실업계고등학교에 디자인과가 설치되기 시작하였는데 주로 공업계에만 설치 운영 되어왔으나 최근 시대의 변천과 사회의 요구로 상업계고등학교의 대폭적인 학과조정으로 디자인관련학과의 신설이 크게 늘어나고 있다. 더구나 우리나라 실업계고등학교의 핵심적인 학과로 신장되고 있는 추세이다. 하지만 양적인 신장에 비하여 질적인 향상을 이루지 못하고 있는게 현 실정이다.
이에 부산시내를 비롯한 전국 실업계고등학교 디자인과 교육의 현황에 대해설문조사를 통해 문제점을 분석하고 이를 통한 개선방안을 모색하였다.
첫째, 디자인과 운영에 있어 디자인 전공별 교사의 수급이 시급한 실정이므로 실기연수와 관련산업체와의 실무체험을 통한 우수교원의 확보로 디자인교육의 전문성을 확보해야 할 것이다.
둘째, 교육과정에 있어서 시대의 변화와 학생들의 다양한 흥미에 부응할 수 있는 다양한 수업프로그램이 개발되어야할 뿐 아니라 선택과목의 구성에 있어서도 체계적으로 다양화, 세분화가 이루어져야 할 것이다.
셋째, 디자인교사의 연수에 있어 그 기회가 좀 더 확대되고 체계적인 교육이 이루어져야 할 것이다. 연수시간의 연장과 부전공자격 부여에 있어 좀 더 엄격한 검정으로 디자인교육의 전문성을 확보하여 실업계고등학교 디자인과의 질적인 향상을 꾀하여야 할 것이다. 이를 위해서는 디자인교사연수의 확대와 연수의 내용에 있어 디자인교육의 새로운 동향과 산업체 현장연구와 관련한 내용의 보강이 이루어져야 할 것이다.
2000년대의 디자인은 멀티미디어, 영상토털시대로 나아가고 있는 만큼 학생들의 관심분야도 시각, 영상디자인에 기울어지고 있다. 그러므로 학생들의 관심에 부응하는 디자인 교육과목의 추가편성 및 조정이 고려되어야 할 것이다.
나아가 디자인교육은 일정한 기능, 기술을 습득시키는 획일화된 교육에서 탈피하여 피교육자의 개성을 최대한 신장시키고 다양한 경험 습득을 위한 직업교육과 계속교육을 병행하여 창의적인 디자이너를 양성할 수 있어야 할 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Modern life, which is called design-oriented-society, is closely related to from our dairy life to every part of society. Especially, As the awareness is increasing that design as well as R&D can give us the direction how to overcome the endless international competition as competitive edge, people are getting interested in design more and more. In response to this awareness, we need more competitive, innovative designer who are up to this demand. To solve the present and future design problems like increasing competition in international market and growing various life style, we need more competitive designers who have various specialities. and this demand lead us to the expectation of design education.
We started to establish department of design in vocational high-school from 1960', and it was mostly established in technical high-school. but recently, as to the changes and demand of society, establishment of department of design in commercial high-school is increasing by great adjustment of its educational system. and This department is becoming one of the most important part in vocational high-school. but the fact is that it has grown in quantity, not in quality.
According to this reality, I tried to analyze the situation of department of design in vocational high-school in this country as well as pusan, and identified problems by asking questions. and Finally, with this data, I made efforts to produce solutions.
First, To operate department of design, we need more teachers in various specialities. We have to secure speciality having highly qualified teacher giving practical-training and chances to practice in business company.
Second, Various programs in educational system should be developed to meet the demand coming from changes of society and various student's interest. In consisting elective courses, it should be systematically diversified and subdivided.
As 2000's design is going toward multi-media, image-total, the student's interest is going same direction. In order to meet their demands, corresponding efforts must be considered.
The object of design education is not solid education giving them partial function or teaching, but promoting student's individuality and giving them vocational education and continuous education at the same time through various experiences to assist them to be innovative designer.
Third, In the training of design teacher, chances should be opened to more people and be developed systematically. Deep consideration should be paid to the extension of training time and giving licence to sub-majored teacher to secure the specialty in design education. and Accordingly We should try to improve the quality of department of design in vocational high school.
Considering the contents and expanding period of training courses for design teacher, additional research on new trend in design education and demand from business company should be added.
In this paper, the object is how to secure systemic approach toward design education and how to improve the quality of vocational school in our country including pusan, giving suggestions by analyzing existing problems on department of design in vocational school.
