한국교회의 성찬 갱신을 위한 방향 연구 : Heidelberg 요리문답을 중심으로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 글의 목적은『하이델베르크 요리문답 해설』에 나타난 성례론을 성찬을 중심으로 다루는데 있다. 참된 교회를 나타내는 표식 중 하나인 성례는 Heidelberg 요리문답이 작성되었던 당시에는 특히 로마 가톨릭과 관련하여서 누가 참된 교회인가를 정하는 일은 매우 중요했다. 종교개혁자들은 말씀의 올 바른 선포와 성례의 올바른 집행을 교회의 참된 표지로 여겼다. 로마 가톨릭도 말씀 선포와 성례 집행을 교회의 참된 표지로 여기고 있었지만, Ursinus가 보 기에 로마 가톨릭은 성례와 말씀 선포 사이의 본질적이고 필연적인 관계를 인 정하지 않았다는데 문제가 있었다. 로마 가톨릭에 따르면 말씀 선포를 통해 성 례의 의미가 무엇인지 알지 못하더라도, 가령 성찬의 경우 주님의 살과 피로 여겨지는 떡과 잔을 마시기만 하면 그 성찬이 그 성찬을 받는 사람에게 효력이 있다고 여겨진다. 이에 반해 Ursinus는 성례를 하나님 말씀의 가시적 선포로 여김으로써 말씀 선포와 성례의 본질적이고 필연적인 관계를 밝히는 동시에, 성례의 유효성이 하나님 말씀에 대한 이해와 믿음에 의존함을 밝힘으로써“오직 말씀으로”라는 종교개혁의 모토를 성례 이해에 적용했다. 이 글은 Ursinus의『하이델베르크 요리문답 해설』에 나타난 성찬 이해를 검토함으로써 말씀 선포와 성례 집행이 서로 밀접한 관계에 있음을 보여준다. 성찬은 하나님 말씀의 비언어적 표현이 기에 하나님 말씀의 언어적 표현인 설교가 선행되어야만 성례로서 유효성을 지닌다. Ursinus의 성찬 이해는‘오직 말씀으로’(Sola Scriptura)에 충실한 이 해이다. 그 말씀은 지적 정보를 전달하는 언어에 그치지 않고 감정의 변화와 의지의 변화를 동반하는 실질적 순종을 낳는 인격적 말씀이기에 말씀의 비언 어적 표현으로서의 성찬도 입술로만의 신앙고백이 아니라 삶에 나타나는 실질 적 신앙고백에 의해 유효하게 된다. 이러한 인식은 한국교회의 성찬 갱신의 방 향을 보여주는 단초가 될 수 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this article is to understand the concept of sacrament in The commentary of Dr. Zacharias Ursinus on the Heidelberg catechism, focusing on eucharist. Eucharist is one of the marks to show what the true church is. In the era when The commentary of Dr. Zacharias Ursinus on the Heidelberg catechism was written it was very important to show that the Protestant church is true whereas Roman Catholic Church is not. Reformers thought that the essential marks of true church are the true preaching of the Word and the right administration of the sacraments. Ursinus thought the Roman Catholics did not know the essential and inevitable relationship between the preaching of the Word and the administration of the sacraments, for they suggested that the sacraments have their own effects without the preaching of the Word. Ursinus emphasized the importance of the relationship between the preaching of the Word and the administration of the sacraments. He suggested that sacraments have their own meaning with the preaching of the Word, for the sacraments are visible signs of the Word. It is suggested that his position about the eucharist results from the motto of the Reformation, namely “Sola Scriptura.” The eucharist is understood as non-verbal expression of the written and spoken Word. The Word is not merely informative but personal in that it is also a cause of the changes of emotion and will in Christians. It enables us to confess our faith both in theoretical and in practical levels. It can give Korean churches a good insight enough to find a true understanding of the eucharist.
