The purpose of this study is to systematically assess the effectiveness of board game programs through a Meta-analysis. We analyzed 25 studies from academic articles over the past decade related to board game programs. The CMA software was utilized for the Meta-analysis to extract general characteristics and effect sizes, and a Meta-regression analysis was conducted to investigate factors influencing these effects. Results indicated that board game programs generally demonstrated a large effect size. Emotional nurturing, play therapy, and therapeutic board games exhibited larger effect sizes compared to educational board games. The duration of the educational program was found to significantly influence the effect, according to the Meta-regression analysis. This study asserts that board game programs exhibit a significant overall effect and can be effectively implemented in diverse areas such as education and therapy.
