The purpose of this study is to construct an integrated conceptual definition of character education. The research methods of this study are literature review and consensual qualitative research. Through a literature review, the dictionary, law, and scholar's concept definition sentences on character education were investigated. And through consensual qualitative research, sentences about the subject, object, purpose, goal, content, and method of personality education were derived. And based on the derived sentences, a sentence defining the concept of integrated character education was constructed. Character education is the education of self-management, relationships, and democratic citizenship by using proven or verifiable educational methods by educators who have received education on character education and have qualifications and abilities. It is an education that forms knowledge, ability, and practice of self-management behavior, relationship behavior, and democratic citizenship behavior through this. Furthermore, it is an education that aims to contribute to the development of a democratic society of coexistence and co-prosperity by fostering talented people with character. The research result is meaningful in that it constitutes and presents an integrated definition of the concept. Interpretation of the results should take into account the limitations of literature review and consensus qualitative research.
