뇌성마비인의 일상생활 수행능력 중재 효과에 관한 메타분석 = Meta-analysis of Intervention Effects on Activities of Daily Living of Persons with Cerebral Palsy

The purpose of this study was to determine the status and to examine the effects through meta-analysis of intervention studies which made in order to improve the ADL of persons with cerebral palsy. It was confirmed for something to be considered by evaluating the effectiveness of such interventions depending on how different types, developmental term, and treatment sessions. To improve the ADL of persons with the cerebral palsy. Results, ADL intervention of persons with cerebral palsy was a total of 20 pieces (14 experimental groups studies, 6 case studies or single subject studies) could be divided into therapeutic intervention, education - functional exercise interventions, mediated interventions, and engineered interventions. Grand mean effect size was about 0.7 and was a slightly higher degree of effect size when viewed by the Cohen(1992). Depending on the type of interventions, the effect size of therapeutic interventions, engineered interventions, mediated interventions, education-functional exercise interventions was higher in the order. and, based on developmental term, the effect size was higher in the order of childhood, adulthood, infancy & early childhood but their difference was not statistically significant. The difference was not observed depending on the number of treatment sessions. All of these results were occurred due to the lack of systematic research on the ADL interventions of persons with cerebral palsy, there was a need for more research in this cumulative. If the research were sufficiently cumulative, meta-analytic results for the validity of evidence-based practice shall be obtained.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구의 목적은 뇌성마비인의 일상생활 수행능력(ADL)을 향상시키기 위해 이루어진 중재 연구에 대한 메타분석을 통하여 그 현황과 효과를 알아보고, 그러한 효과가 중재 유형, 발달 시기, 처치 횟수에 따라 어떻게 다른가를 알아봄으로써 뇌성마비인의 ADL 중재 연구의 효과 크기의 조정변인이 무엇인가를 확인하는 데 있었다. 연구 결과, 뇌성마비인의 ADL 중재는 총 20편(집단실험 14편, 사례연구 또는 단일대상연구 6편)으로 치료적 중재, 교육-기능적 운동 중재, 매개적 중재, 공학적 중재로 구분할 수 있는데, 집단 실험 연구 12편에서 도출된 전체 평균 효과 크기는 .740 으로 Cohen(1992)의 기준에 따르면 약간 높은 정도의 효과 크기를 가지고 있었다. 중재 유형에 따라서 치료적 중재, 공학적 중재, 매개적 중재, 교육-기능적 운동 중재의 순으로 효과크기가 높게 나타났고, 발달 시기에 따라서는 아동기, 성인기, 유아 및 초기 아동기의 순으로 효과크기가 유의하게 높았다. 중재가 이루어진 처치 횟수에 따라서는 효과 크기가 크게 다르지 않았다.
