Lateral discoid meniscus is a common cause of internal derangement of the knee joint. The discoid medial meniscus is much less common than the discoid lateral meniscus. Anomalous insertion of the anterior horn of the medial meniscus is extremely rare. The authors performed arthroscopy on the symp-tomatic knee joint and incidentally found an anomalous insertion of the anterior horn of the medial meniscus into the anterior cruciate ligament combined with incomplete discoid medial meniscus. We treated discoid medial meniscus by reshaping but anomalous insertion of the medial meniscus into anterior cruiate ligament was left alone. On the 13 months follow-up after surgery, the result was satisfactory.
