유아의 마음의 이론과 사회적 능력과의 관련성에 대한 연구 = The Relationship Between Preschool Children's Mind Theories and Their Social Competency

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 또래와의 상호작용이 마음의 이해 발달을 위한 기초를 제공한다는 가정 하에 유아의 마음의 이론과 사회적 능력 사이의 관계를 규명하고자 하였다. 연구대상은 4, 5세 유아 145명으로 마음의 이론은 내용교체 과제와 위치이동 과제로 측정되었으며, 언어능력, 또래 집단의 사회적 선호도 및 교사로부터 친사회성과 공격성이 측정되었다. 연구결과에 의하면 마음의 이론 점수와 사회적 선호도는 관련성이 있었으며 언어능력을 통제한 후에도 관련성이 나타났다. 반면에, 마음의 이론은 친사회성과 공격성과는 관련성이 없는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 회귀분석 결과에 의하면 사회적 선호도는 친사회성 및 마음의 이론에 의해 예언되는 것으로 나타났다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study investigates the relationship between mind theory and the social competency of preschool children. Subjects were one hundred forty five 4-and 5-year olds. The children were assessed regarding their false beliefs, language, and social preferences by their peer groups. Teachers rated the children's prosocial behavior and aggression. Results: false belief scores were positively related to social preference. When language ability was omitted from the equation, this significant correlation remained. False belief scores did not correlate with prosocial behavior or with aggression. Prosocial behavior and false beliefs were found to be significant independent predictors of children's social preference.
