전통사찰(傳統寺刹)의 보존(保存)에 대한 문제(問題)와 대책(對策) = The Preservation Related Problems and Solutions of Traditional Korean Buddhist Temples

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purposes of the present research are first to find the essential reasons for various problems around traditional Buddhist temples in order to preserve the original foundations and excellent scenery of traditional temples and second to find solutions to troubleshoot these problems. The research found that the preservation related problems of traditional Korean Buddhist temples can be largely classified into two categories. One is the natural environmental problem and the other is the cultural environmental problem. To preserve traditional temples which are exposed to various problems, the following measures must be taken: First, legal and systematic measures should be prepared to preserve the environment of traditional temples. Second, the temple related matters should be managed by Buddhists. Third, special organizations such as the Buddhist Service Committee, which can provide advice should be established.
