The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of the two kinds of conversation program on children's creativity. To achieve the purpose, the researchers made the following research question(s); "Is there any difference in children's fluency (flexibility, originality, imagination) in terms of program type and gender?
Children of 40, 4-year-old 18 boys and 22 girls attending two preschools in Pusan were participated in the study as subjects. The two kinds of programs(i.e, a program using extending questions vs. a program other using converging questions) were designed by the reserarchers, and the K-CCTYC was used to measure creativity of the subjects. In order to analyze the data, several two-way ANOVAs were computed using SPSS/PC.
The results of the study can be summarized as follows: First, it was found that the program using extending questions made positive effect on children's fluency, flexibility, originality except for imagination. Second, gender did not make any difference in children's creativity fluency, including flexibility, originality, and imagination.
