Resilience attracts wide attention from the perspective of positive psychology as is one of positive psychological
capital in addition to self-efficacy and hope. Although resilience research has been gradually increasing over the last
20 years, the concepts of resilience are different among the existing studies depending on the theoretical position or
perspective that explain resilience. Therefore, seven resilience scales developed in Korea were examined to investigate
the components of resilience. Components of resilience have multidimensional characteristics, and it is important to
understand the concept of resilience in terms of interaction between internal and external resources. In conclusion,
since the concept of resilience is very complex, it is important to select the appropriate scale for the study purpose and the target. Finally, we proposed the necessity of research on the development of resilience programs and effectiveness validation studies to establish the main concept of resilience in explaining the successful adaptation of
youth in psychologically difficult situation.
