어머니 양육스트레스와 유아 문제행동의 관계에서 어머니 우울의 종단적 매개효과 = Longitudinal mediation effects of maternal depression in the relationship between mother’s parenting stress and early childhood behavioral problem

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to examine the longitudinal mediation effects of maternal depression in the relationship between mother’s parenting stress and early childhood problem behavior. The data used in this study were collected from the 5th to 7th years of the Panel Study on Korean Children(PSKC) of the Korea Institute of Child Care and Education. The longitudinal relationship between mother’s parenting stress, depression, and early childhood behavioral problem were measured by Autoregressive cross-lagged model(ARCL). The results of this study were as follows. First, mother's parenting stress, depression, and early childhood behavioral problem at the previous point predicted mother‘s parenting stress, depression, and early childhood behavioral problem at the later point, respectively. Second, mother‘s parenting stress had a longitudinal influences on maternal depression. Also, maternal depression had a longitudinal influences on child’s behavioral problem. Third, the longitudinal mediation effects of maternal depression were identified in the relationship between mother‘s parenting stress and early childhood behavioral problem. Based on these results, the importance of a parent education programs was discussed for the prevention of early childhood behavioral problem as well as longitudinal relationships of major variables.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 어머니 양육스트레스와 유아 문제행동의 관계에서 어머니 우울의 종단적 매개효과를 검증하기 위해 수행되었다. 이를 위해 육아정책연구소의 한국아동패널(PSKC)의 5～7차년도 자료를 분석대상으로 자기회귀교차지연 모형(ARCL)을 사용하여 어머니 양육스트레스, 우울 및 유아 문제행동 간의 종단적 관계를 살펴보았다. 연구결과를 살펴보면 첫째, 이전 시점의 어머니 양육스트레스와 우울 및 유아 문제행동은 이후 시점의 어머니 양육스트레스와 우울, 유아 문제행동을 각각 예측하였다. 둘째, 어머니 양육스트레스는 어머니 우울에, 어머니 우울은 유아 문제행동에 각각 종단적 영향력을 가지고 있었다. 셋째, 어머니 양육스트레스와 유아 문제행동의 관계에서 어머니 우울이 종단적으로 매개효과를 가지고 있음을 확인하였다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 주요 변인들의 종단적 영향력과 유아 문제행동의 감소 및 예방을 위해 어머니 양육스트레스와 우울에 대한 관심이 필요하며, 이를 위한 부모교육 프로그램의 중요성을 논의하였다.
