Nietzsche points out that the starting point of traditional metaphysics is a blind belief in human rational ability. Therefore, Nietzsche's thinking criticizes the limitations of logoscentrism, which is premised on traditional metaphysics, and seeks to establish a new philosophy that is completely different from before. This is revealed to Nietzsche through the process of excluding traditional metaphysical truths, namely aisthessis, and refusing to pursue universal and transcendent knowledge through the process of desensitization. As is well known, in traditional metaphysics, the body (Körper) was defined as a kind of ritual tomb that was distinguished from consciousness. However, Nietzsche argues that unlike traditional metaphysics, sensory perception is rather the way to the truth.
Of course, it should be noted that Nietzsche insists that truth is everywhere. Nietzsche's epistemology, defined as Perspektivismus, means that Nietzsche no longer recognizes the existence of a universal subject, such as modern subjectivity philosophy. This is because from Nietzsche's point of view, the subject of life is no longer a universal consciousness like cogito, but an individual's individual body.
Dance is a key metaphor that penetrates the Nietzsche philosophy that performs the dissolution of traditional metaphysics centered on reason here. Particularly for Nietzsche, who emphasizes the role of the body, not reason, in existential life problems, dance is closely related to his future philosophy for active affirmation of existential life. Therefore, Nietzsche develops various discussions on dance in his works. This is because for Nietzsche, dance is not limited to artistic gestures, but can be defined as a constant play of creation performed through the human body.
