부모의 디지털 미디어 리터러시와 디지털 미디어 지도 방식이 영유아의 스마트기기 과의존에 미치는 영향 = The Impact of Parents’ Digital Media Literacy and Digital Media Parenting on Young Children’s Overdependence on Smart Devices

국문 초록 (Abstract)

연구목적: 본 연구는 부모 및 영유아의 스마트기기 사용 실태를 파악하고 부모의 디지털 미디어 리터러시와 디지털 미디어 지도 방식이 영유아의 스마트기기 과의존에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 연구방법: 강원 지역 어린이집에 재원 중인 유아의 부모 203명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 디지털 미디어 리터러시, 부모의 디지털 미디어 지도 방식, 영유아의 스마트기기 과의존을 측정하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 29.0 프로그램을 사용하여 상관관계 분석, 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과: 디지털 미디어 리터러시는 과의존과 직접적 상관은 없었으나 지도 방식과 유의미한 관련이 있었으며, 통제적 지도 방식이 과의존 감소에 효과적임을 확인하였다. 논의 및 결론: 부모가 자녀의 미디어 사용을 적극적으로 관리하고, 디지털 미디어에 대한 이해를 높이는 것이 영유아의 과의존을 예방하는 데 도움이 될 수 있음을 시사한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the usage patterns of smart devices among parents and young children and analyze the effects of parental digital media literacy and guidance styles on young children's overdependence on smart devices. Method: Through a survey of 203 parents of infants and toddlers at daycare centers in Gangwon-do, digital media literacy, parents' guidance methods, and dependence on infant smart devices were measured. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 29.0 for correlation analysis and regression analysis Results: Digital media literacy was not directly correlated with overdependence on smart devices, but it was significantly associated with guidance styles. Controlling guidance styles were found to be effective in reducing overdependence. Conclusion: The findings suggest that actively managing children's media usage and enhancing parents' understanding of digital media can help prevent young children's overdependence on smart devices.
