한국사회 패러다임의 변화와 기독교교육 혁신: ‘상호종교교육’을 지향하며 = Changing the Paradigm of Korean Society and Innovating Christian Education: Towards “Intra/Interreligious Education”

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 논문은 한국사회의 패러다임의 변화를 성찰한 뒤, 그 토대 위에서 한국 기독교교육의 혁신방향을 탐색하는데 연구의 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 본 논문은 한국사회의 패러다임의 변화를 과학기술, 정치경제, 그리고 종교문화적 측면에서 살펴보았다. 그리고 그 토대 위에서 새로운 기독교교육의 방향으로 기독교교육이 ‘상호종교교육’으로 새롭게 재 개념화 될 것과 더불어 기독교교육의 패러다임도 ‘상호비판적 대화교육’으로 전환될 것을 촉구하였다. 상호종교교육으로서의 기독교교육은 기독교 내의 여러 교파 간의 대화교육, 기독교와 이웃종교와의 대화교육, 그리고 구성신학적 대화교육을 의미하는 것으로서, 그동안 기독교교육에서 영 교육과정으로 배제되었던 주제들을 이제 과감히 명시적 교육과정으로 적극 수용할 것을 제안하였다. 상호종교교육의 연구방법론은 비판적 상관관계방법이 제시되었다. 그것은 선텍스트, 텍스트, 컨텍스트라는 텍스트의 삼중성의 해석학적 순환을 강조하는 것으로서, 각 텍스트의 범위와 강조점도 상호 호혜적으로 평등하게 확대될 것을 제안하였다. 특히 성서교육은 기존의 기독교 신자를 대상으로 한 교육을 넘어서 무신론자 및 이웃종교인을 대상으로 한 열린성서학습의 필요성을 강조하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this article is to reflect on the paradigm shift in Korean society and to explore the direction of innovation in Korean Christian education based on that foundation. To this end, this article examines the paradigm shift in Korean society in terms of science and technology, politics and economy, and religion and culture, and calls for a new paradigm shift in Christian education to “intra/interreligious education” and “mutual critical dialogue education” as a new direction for Christian education. Christian education as intra/interreligious education means dialogue education between different denominations within Christianity, dialogue education between Christianity and neighboring religions, and dialogical education of constructive theology, and it is proposed that topics that were previously excluded from Christian education as null curriculum should be boldly embraced as explicit curriculum. The research methodology for intra/interreligious education is the critical correlational method. It emphasizes the hermeneutical cycle of the threefold textuality of pre-text, text, and context, and suggests that the scope and emphasis of each text be expanded reciprocally and equally. In particular, it emphasizes the need for Bible education to go beyond the existing education of Christian believers to “open-Bible-learning” to atheists and people of neighboring religions.
