기획 2 : 한국 한시의 특징과 전개 (1) ; 한국 제화시의 특징과 전개 = The Characters and Meanings of Sino-korean Pictorial Poetry

국문 초록 (Abstract)

題畵詩는 어떤 그림의 畵題, 畵面, 畵法, 畵意, 畵論 등을 소재나 제재로 삼은 한시를 가리킨다. 시인은 그림의 내용을 단순히 언어로 옮기는 것이 아니라 그림에 대한 주관적인 해석을 통해 제화시를 창작한다. 또한 제화시의 형상화 방식은 그림의 성격에 따라 결정되는 한편 한시라는 문학 갈래의 관습적인 특징을 보이기도 한다. 한국의 제화시는 그 유래가 오래되었으나 그 창작과 감상이 성황을 이루었던 시기는 그리 많지 않았다. 이는 시보다 그림을 천대하였던 사회적 인식에서 비롯된 것으로 보인다. 따라서 조선전기까지의 한국 제화시는 그림의 성격보다는 시인 자신의 개성이나 당대의 詩風에 따른 특징을 보인다. 조선후기에 이르러 그림에 대한 가치평가가 달라지면서 제화시의 성격 또한 변화를 보인다. 즉 畵法, 畵論에 대한 관심을 담아내는가 하면 畵意를 새롭게 해석하는 시각 또한 높은 수준을 보여준다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Sino-korean pictorial poetry had put materials of picture to use as subject matters. Materials of picture are comprised in picture`s title, compositions of picture, skills of painting, picture`s theme, and theory of painting. As poet interpreted picture`s theme from their own view, his poetry took new meanings and values. So knowing the typical characters of sino-korean poetry is closely connected to understanding pictorial poetry. Though pictorial poetry of Korea originated in early times, the boom of writing and reading pictorial poetry appeared occasionally, because people treated picture as a rubbish art. Therefore the pictorial poetry of early times were written by typical skills of writing sino-korean poetry. Under occurring the change of thought about picture in later Joseon dynasty, pictorial poetry came into the spotlight, and many good pictorial poetry were created as that result.
