Therefore, the purpose of this study is to analyze design management activities that can be applied to realize effective design results and sustainable performance through corporate design-oriented strategies, and to what extent it can affect ESG management performance, through case studies of companies and surveys of perceptions of practitioners. Design management activities are to analyze the internal environment of a company, leadership, environmental creation, organization and manpower, process, performance and evaluation management, and design thinking through prior research, and derive results through corporate cases and surveys based on the items. The research methods and flows to investigate the research are as follows. First, in order to analyze a company's design management activities and design-oriented values and philosophies, a company case study is conducted by collecting information such as the latest activities and strategies through corporate website, literature, and Internet information. Second, by analyzing the factors for the successful implementation of design management activities through related previous studies and references, a survey tool is developed, and an online survey is conducted for design practitioners and ESG-related department practitioners. In this way, by synthesizing the recognition results of practitioners through corporate case surveys and surveys, effective design management activities for ESG management performance are derived.
